Betrayal at Calth- additional work on my Word Bearers and notes on the Plastic HH set

So like all of you fellow Heresy fans I am beyond excited about the leaks.  I wanted to take a minute to note a few things I am not sure everyone has thought of yet; that will improve HH army build astronomically.  Open the story to see.

3 Plastic powers swords THAT WILL NOT WARP, this is freaking huge for anyone who has spent a day painting a centerpiece model only to store it and see the sword start needing Viagra

3 of the following weapons, Meltas, Plasma, plasma pistols, Combi blotters with all mods, missile launchers, heavy blotters, flamers, lightning claws

6 power fists

1 plastic Dreadnought Assault cannon, THAT YOU CAN BUILD WITHOUT GLUING YOUR FINGERS TOGETHER and will have straight barrels.

With 2 boxes you are outfitting entire Heavy Weapons teams

Word on the street is that the Terminators will include all weapons options also.

$150 worth of stuff that if you had ordered in resin weeks ago would be almost $600, if this sales well we will see all MK's, I bet GW has the designs in CAD just waiting to cut the Dies.

Now, on to My Words Bearers; progress has been really slow lately.  School is eating up most of what I used to have for modeling time.  I have managed to get the first 20 Infantry built and 10 Ashen Circle built, all primed and base coated.  Here are some Pics:

The process I am using to base the Army consists of Priming Black, basing Silver and then washing with Nuln Oil.  Next they are given 3 thin coats of FW's new AB paint Angron Red and then one coat of Miniaire Fresh Blood.  The Angron by itself is too orange and the Minitaire Blood paint is two Magenta.  Together they are magic, I think it imitates perfectly the look of the Word Bearers in the HH books.  The washed silver undercoat gives a metallic look to the plates that already have depth to them.  Next the detail painting, stay tuned.
