The Tusked Devil

Love the new weapons and this face mask in particular, in the improved knight kit.  It needed something though, so I added tusks from the Fantasy Black Orc kit.

The new Knight and Mechanicum decals are super high quality, not even an extra mm of film on the edges, they look painted on.

I played with Heraldry a little this time not just to look cool but to add some meaning.  He is a sworn sword for the Forgeworld of Cyclothrathe.  His 5 Knight Freeblade company was ambushed and he was the lone survivor, Cyclothrathe force found and repaired him, he swore allegiance to them and ended up through that pact serving the WarMaster.  The withered eagles on his pauldrons show that he believes now that the Imperial Truth is a withered lie and the 4 blood tear on the plate over his heart are for his four fallen brothers.

Heat effects done as i showed in the earlier blog post.

Two Knights and a Lancer left and then I am ready to paint the Warhound.  If you are not an airbrush painter and you plan on spending time in this hobby make the leap.  Especially for large projects.  It is the only way to go.  Basing even with designs and masking takes only an hour for a knight, then it's just catching details, washing and highlights.
